Matthias Schaad Mettler

Matthias Schaad Mettler is Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance at MRB. He has extensive experience in developing risk management frameworks, compliance strategies and outsourcing solutions for financial institutions. Previously, he was a partner and member of the executive board at SwissComply AG, where he was responsible for quality assurance and the further development of GRC processes and led a team of mandate managers. Earlier stages of his career include specialist roles at Deloitte AG in outsourcing for FINIG-regulated asset managers and the position of Country Compliance Officer at Generali Insurance Switzerland. Before that, he was managing director of the FINMA-recognised self-regulatory organisation SRO PolyReg and the professional association for asset managers PolyAsset, and lectured at the University of Zurich on anti-money laundering and international cooperation. Matthias is a Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE) and holds a CAS in Compliance Management from the University of St. Gallen and a Master's degree in Political Science, Constitutional Law and Journalism from the University of Zurich.
