Florian Steiger

Before founding Icosa Investments, Florian held the position of Head of Cat Bonds at Twelve Capital AG, where he managed cat bond portfolios surpassing $3bn of AuM, including the largest cat bond UCITS fund globally. As the portfolio manager steering the Twelve Cat Bond Fund right from its inception in February 2018, Florian delivered industry-leading performance for its investors. Before his time at Twelve Capital, Florian worked in structured credit or alternative fixed income at Goldman Sachs, ZAIS Group, and Cape Capital. Recognized as a thought leader in ILS, Florian is a frequent voice at industry summits. His book on cat bonds has become an essential guide for new investors keen on navigating this asset class. Florian is an alumnus of the University of St. Gallen, where he finished his Executive MBA as the best of his class. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Management from the European Business School in Germany and spent a semester abroad at Harvard University.
